The 辅修艺术工作室 combines intensely engaged faculty, and the professional facilities of a larger school, with the personal attention paid to each student's artistic and scholarly development only possible at a smaller college. The Nancy G Unobskey 云顶集团ing Artist Program enables 工作室艺术 to bring internationally recognized artists to 云顶集团’s campus and provides students with meaningful and significant 云顶集团 the artists via exhibitions in the Silber Gallery, studio visits, discussion groups and lectures. Some previous visiting artists include Linda Montano, Ann Hamilton, Whitfield Lovell, Mark Dion & 蕾拉阿里. Our minor complements many areas of study, including majors such as the 视觉, 图书馆 and 物质文化, Integrative Arts Study, Digital Arts, Communication and Media Studies, as well as secondary minor education in art history, and a concentration in 艺术 management.

Since it was founded in 1885, 云顶集团 has been firmly committed to excellence in liberal 艺术. 你会 demonstrate your knowledge of aesthetic traditions and conventions in assessing the merit and value of artwork; build on existing academic, analytical, and technical abilities across a range of media; and examine the role of the visual 21世纪的艺术st century with societal and cultural conditions underscoring the current creative landscape. 你会 be encouraged to learn traditional skills and explore visual problem-solving within an open curriculum.
The Meyerhoff Arts Center, located in the heart of the campus, houses the program's offices, the studios for drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture & 3 d、陶瓷、 print media, and its seminar and lecture rooms. Photography and digital media courses (imaging, sound/sonic art, video, interactive media, kinetic imagery, and animation) utilize one of two digital classrooms located in Van Meter.

课程 in studio art emphasize independent thought and experimentation in transforming materials to communicate emotions and ideas, which prepares you for serious inquiry, whether in research or studio practice. You’re able to bring your own 经验s and skills into a community of peers.

Scholarships and Awards
The Spencer Award
The Eleanor Spencer Award is granted each year to a rising sophomore who has declared a major in art history or studio art. It funds outstanding research projects requiring travel to complete. Proposals are submitted to the department chair early in the spring semester and are reviewed by the program faculty.

实习 help students explore possibilities, apply classroom learning, and gain 经验. 探索 internships and credit options.
实习 for college credit are possible through established relationships with area museums, 艺术 organizations, artists, galleries, and design studios, as well as through professional relationships researched by the student. These provide students with hands-on 经验 and help them establish professional contacts. 某些课程 are open to 云顶集团学生 at a consortium of institutions, including the Johns Hopkins University, Maryland Institute College of Art, and Towson University.

Student employment connects students to both on and off-campus opportunities. Johns Hopkins Carey Business School 4+1 BA/MS Program
云顶集团 College and Johns Hopkins Carey Business School are offering 云顶集团学生 a combined bachelor’s and master’s degree program. 这 4 + 1项目 combines a bachelor’s degree from 云顶集团 with a master of science degree from Johns Hopkins in business analytics and risk management, information systems, health care management, finance, or marketing. 学生 can apply during their junior year. GRE考试 or GMAT tests have been waived but applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 or better and have passed some quantitative reasoning courses with a grade of B或更好.
